Lidsey is our other production site and is 4 miles from the coast and about 80 miles from the biggest ever onshore producing site in the UK,wytch farm,so it's looking promising for future development, wytch farm is famous for drilling 16 km out under the sea from on shore and Lidsey is closer to the coast, below is a post from a very knowledgeable poster on LSE stocks forum in the U.K.

According to Angus the new well at Lidsey, (called Lidsey - X2) will be 1,000 metres deep, targeting the upper crest of the Great Oolite reservoir and it will also assess the Kimmeridge formation which is located above the Great Oolite reservoir, (in other words two different reservoirs).

Curiously, aside from looking at the Kim, as far as I know, Angus are not talking about having a look see at any other potential oil targets on the way down to the Greter Oolite. HH was targeting several zones on the way down during their drill but according to DL, they only had time to flow test the Kim. There are therefore known oil zones at HH and Brockham which we still haven't flow tested. They can't do anything about these deeper systems at Brockham for the time being, as the recent drill was only a shallow side track, but a 3,000 ft drill at Lidsey does give them scope to do a fact find on the way down, should they use some cutting edge sensors on the drill bit.

Angus and HH have an info sharing agreement covering HH and Brockham, (given that the Kim is the same reservoir at both sites), but I wonder if that agreement also covers sharing info on Lidsey? Commercially tricky, because if the sensors go "ping" on anything other than the Oolite and the Kim, then it can impact the price of other sites and wells in the area. The Lidsey results may also impact the flow testing at HH, because if we get a big ping, then HH really will need to perforate zones where they had shows. but never flow tested.
