The alternative is letting China continue its dominance of the REE supplies where no assurance of price nor supply is guaranteed.
Because the alternative is simply unthinkable,
ROW consumers are definitely willing to pay a slight premium for Lynas' products.
And further, China is able to produce so cheaply because of slack environmental contraints - long term this is not sustainable.
