Rightly or wrongly , many traders and investors have adopted technical theory as a way of picking entries and exits into stocks. This gives it a modicum of relevance, of sorts....
So to a certain degree, technical indicators and chart patterns have become self-fullfilling prophecies , in the absence of fundemental news flow and macro-influences.
At the end of the day , fundementals will drive long term value. This is all value investors should be concerned about.
