Redundancy payouts for long-term employees on highly inflated salaries continue. Non-exec staff are entitled to 40 weeks' pay for 20 years of service. Some legacy employees hanging around doing nothing, waiting for a payout, are on an older system guaranteeing them even bigger entitlements.

This calendar year alone IT/Digital division was entirely outsourced to Accenture, resulting in 100+ redundancies. Staying behind are two "Co-CIOs" and a digital CEO who burned through several hundred million promising success with a digital twin disrupter product that failed to gain interest in the industry.

The reset is not complete and continues. Lombardo was brave enough to take on the challenge of clearing out the old wardrobe. Only time will tell.
