When governments know times are going to be rough they go for an early reelection which allows more time to ride out the hurricane.
So the senate has voted down the governments stimulus bill.
They could wait till July when the senate numbers change but why when they know they can win again and lengthen their term, hopefully closer to the end of the crisis.
