The Shabeel-1 drill was at 2002m by 7/3/12 and 2384m by 19/3 i.e. 382m / 12 days = 31.8m/day. From 19/3 (2384m) to 12/4 (2703m) we had covered 319m in 24 days but set 9 5/8” casing so actual drill speed is impossible to calculate without knowing the time taken to set casing. If we assume 31.8m /day drill speed then we should have covered another 159m in the last 5 days. This would take us to 2862m which would put us in the primary reservoir (Gabredarre formation) Sandstones (on the generalised stratigraphy of Puntland legend). We still have to drill through the Uarandab source rock (Shale Carbonates) and into the secondary reservoir (Hamanlei formation). TD is at 3800m. So, it would appear that we are far to shallow to have conducted tests or made any assessment on commercial viability at this stage. Getting closer to TD and with a great deal at stake we can expect a lot of share price volatility. Just opinion, DYOR.
