With labour governing australia federally and in most of the states it’s only a matter of time until they have there well proven track record of having businesses close resulting in substantial job losses with the combination of speculation of several more rate rises and property prices in Australia some of the most expensive in the world it’s only a matter of time until the mess the global economy is in is felt in Australia. A good indicator is to see if there many caravans and jet ski for sale as this normally indicates the boys have run out of play money and disposable income running out. For example the average tradesman had it pretty good the past 5-10 years with low interest rates and high employment but is not hard to see the building sector about to crash which will result in less demand for building products so that effectively reduces the demand for iRon ore and coal so there goes the mining sector effected also. Tourism used to be a big earner for Australia but the cost of flying there now very expensive compared to other destinations and it’s no secret Australia extremely expensive to holiday in. The next 5 years would be a good time to be an employee in the government sector as there jobs are safe and not many have a sleepless night as there job finishes each day they walk out the door. The Chinese are still spending considerable amounts of money in south east Asia but how sustainable that is no one really knows as it will only take Evergrande to miss another payment on there debt to say good bye to the Chinese housing sector. Sadly it’s a game for a few in the know and prepare themselves financially for it. Good luck and get some financial advice on trading a portion of your portfolio. There a pretty strong support and resistance level formed now but the biggest concern for me is the huge overhang of cr stock they are churning day in and day out. Broker data clearly shows the mass distribution from institutions to retail but there very few retail investors buying which is not a good indication
