    interesting to note...
    'he questions the success of the rebate schemes in vic,nsw & act' and...
    'rebates are not the governing factor to make people buy a rainwater tank' and...
    'the problem is that if you buy a 4500 litre tank it will cost $1000 plus installation' and...
    'theres no financial incentive to put a rain water tank in' he says

    mr beattie also notes that 'the increase in tank sales has come about more due to the water restrictions' and 'that's a far greater incentive than offering a $150 or $300 rebate'

    he also advises that 'while there has been a real focus on storage nylex have concentarated on recycling australia's massive grey water waste'
