I like the company - impressive FUM growth and strong culture.
I bought at the float, knowing that it was a gamble to buy a fund manager towards the end of the cycle. However, I believed at the time that there was a possibility that the cycle still had a year or a year and a half to go, so I thought a modest investment could still turn out worthwhile.
The cycle has now turned and I don't think that a fund manager, which behaves like a leveraged share investment, is the right thing to hold at this time. I bailed out at $1.70, leaving a residual 1000 shares to remind me to look at getting back in if there is some blood on the floor.
