Im no expert on oil exploration and extraction by any means.

But from what Ive read generally

Shale is super dirty;
Tar sands like in Alberta are cleaner, but extraction costs require a lot of oil input cost.
Whereas natural gas which companies like BHP have eons of
is a much cleaner burn

Does anyone know what the Obama administration will do to find alternatives within their own borders? I know Alaska is out..anywhere else?
