JC rounding bottoms are rare on the Dow, but its part of the dow theory. Look back through the 1940-1960's and you will see truck loads of bullish rounding tops.
Even in stock charts you see heaps as per what I stated.
According to the encyclopedia of chart patterns rounding tops have a 81% probability of seeing the move been strongly upwards.
