I generally trade shares, use cfd's for shorts OR big long positions and trade the Aussie 200 (SPI200).
Trading the Aussie 200 Forward gives me a good appreciation for what is going to impact my shares/cfd positions. Plus if you work it right, you can take profits after our equity market has closed.
