I follow the dow futures during the day to formulate if I will buy or sell on the Australian market.If it is showing -100 at 3.55pm our time I would be less inclined to buy because if the dow does turn negative the next day our market would be down.

I use the dow futures as another input into whether I would buy or sell.

I use to say why do we follow the USA market but it is a fact of life that you can not ignore.
