Well, they certainly didn't listen to CNBC did they! The dow ramped up into the close and closed on its high (up 286 points).

They reckon the good mood in the US is due to Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker becoming the first governor in U.S. history to survive a recall election on Tuesday with a decisive victory. So the Republicans are popping the corks! (It looks like the market turmoil scared everybody into voting republican!)
