Re compulsive spending an addiction

An addiction that can be switched off bu your credit card company!

That said, from what I've seen on my travels and read more generally, China along with many asian countries eg Singapore love to spend just like the westerners if not more so. So yes, the addidction can fill a gap.

Just a point re earlier post re China overtaking USA. Some 200 years ago China was the largest economy but failed to get on board with the industrial reveloution but they seem to have finally caught the train. Second point, the most powerfl economy is often seen as the one that has the most powerful armed forces.. theres a thought for change in the world!!
