I suspect that one of these "in the know" people is Dr Weiss who, for a price, will sell you his thoughts (along with many others, on the electronic publishing community).

Dr Weiss has been arguing the DOW down for 5+ years now and is considered a major league Bear. Therefore, you will find a number of posters here who will agree with his views of a 5,000 Dow.

I, for one, however, do not, even though the Dow has now gone below what I considered was its likely low point.

I suggest, therefore, that you do a search by either posters, or by topic to ascertain the generally held views of the HC community. In doing so, you should also consider the arguments of Nickoo (calling the market down - right, so far), myself (not so right, so far), Greenrisian (calling the market down to 7500 for fundamental support levels), among others. That should provide you with a broad cross-section of views.
