One think a lot of people here forget is that PE's have to taken in context with interest rates at the time. Bear this in mind when talking about the US. Shortly earnings yields on stocks (after coming earnings season) will be above bond yields for the first time since 1982!! The big question at the moment is whether the E in the PE is crap or not!!
