Mind you, I selected last night as the appropriate moment to invest in several Euro-telco stocks trading on the NASDAQ. This now balances the portfolio on both sides of the Atlantic.
The results for several of these stocks will be out over the next few days.
Whilst the USA laden telco stocks are still missing their mark (ie; LU, MOT, NORTEL, etc), the Euro-centric telco stocks are now hitting their marks
NOK will be close to guidance tonight, but likely to close slightly lower on the day's trading, ERICY should be up on guidance tomorrow.
VOD will come in higher than guidance in ~3 weeks time, and both SIEMENS and MARCONI should improve upon their respective positions.
ALCATEL remains a sleeper stock, as its mid year earning's guidance could go either way. Therefore, I remain neutral on ALCATEL.
I, therefore, do not currently hold any NAM telco stocks, but I do hold Euro teclo stcks, both in Europe and in the States.
