0859 [Dow Jones] Media sector still in spotlight, with Ten (TEN.AU) likely to take center stage after reports major shareholder Canwest Global Communications hired Citigroup to look at options stake. Could be quite a bit of interest in Ten, has been speculation around for a while that News Corp. (NWS.AU) may want tie-up, although NWS Chairman Rupert Murdoch says Aussie TV assets pricey. Fairfax (FXJ.AU) could come off a bit after Murdoch says not looking to increase stake, or break-up options - but then again, Murdoch likely keeping cards close to chest. AFR reports Murdoch to meet with FXJ's Ron Walker when he's in Australia next month. FXJ last at A$5.05, TEN last at A$3.50. (LMF)
