0911 [Dow Jones] Computershare (CPU.AU) stock may rise after CPU says it expects its FY07 to be 50% higher than last year. CPU's 1H result more than doubled to US$107 million from US$52.2 million boosted by "sustained merger and acquisition activity, growing corporate action revenues, and comparatively more favourable interest rate levels," it says. The most significant improvements over the half came from the U.K., Australia, Canada and the U.S., CPU says. CPU was seeking further acquisitions, it says. CPU, which said last November it will buy back of up to 25 million shares, or about 4% of its stock, has bought back 1.3 million shares for a cost of A$11.5 million. Last trade A$9.80. (PAD)
