It shows the Dow Jones futures, if you look at the European chart and the Dow futures chart, they both dropped dramatically about an hour ago (that's why Europe had the steep downturn, it was tracking the Dow futures). Though it seems that there has been a bit of recovery since that time. Hopefully there is more
