I live in HK , gold is being snapped up here by everyone , jewelry sales up by %30 , go to the bank to buy gold and expect to wait a couple of hours while everyone opens back packs with kgs of cash . I go into china and I can sell my gold for same as I bought it for or more , take cash and try to exchange it , I lose %20 . Go to India and my gold worth more than I paid . 30 min delay on my flight to china due passenger with heavy carry on , flight attendant could not slide it in over head , guess what was in it , physical gold .
Gold seems to be the currency of choice in this part of the world !
