Kacy, fair call. I have studied the market using both linear and log charts. both are useful and highlight different points.
Using the log chart you posted try to come to terms with the percentage fall in the markets in 1974. Features of that era were high inflation, low growth, a credit squeeze, and oil shocks......sound familiar ??
