I am not saying that Rudd's policies might not be negative, but markets top when all the news is good not because of bad news.
Why? Do they know bad news is coming soon? Maybe. I believe there is another reason and that is cycles.
Whatever the reason, the bad news tends to follow the market with the following understanding that, bad news in a bull market is either ignored or causes a very minor stall and vice versa in a bear.
