    re: smelly bernanke He made up his mind a long time ago. We knew he was a hawk when he got the job...rates have gone up since he's been at the helm and he's just warming up. Chairmen are typically just left or right of neutral in their comments so his seemimg ambiguity is mere illusion to lessen market interference.
    US Consumer generated growth is fleeting...the consequences are clear. Best hope is for a USD to find a valuation that boosts exports and manufacturing competiveness...otherwise stagflation
