WALL STREET... The Dow Jones Industrial Average settled 16.04
points lower at 12,532.60. but Standard and Poor's 500 index rose 3.11
points to 1352.99. The Nasdaq Composite index finished 14.30 points
higher at 2341.05 and the 100 index ended 10.14 in front at 1824.54. In
Treasuries the 10-year note rose 19/32 to 100 3/32, trimming the yield 7
points to 3.49pc. The 30-year bond yield lost 7 points to 4.30pc while
the 2-year note yield shed 6 points to 1.74pc.
