I just spoke to Ross Kennedy (assistant to Delphine I think)....He said that he was disappointed too with the share price as he held a considerable amount as well -the conversation was hard to hear as he kept cutting in and out, but this is what he had to say:
-through the prospectus we are all fully informed
-there has been short selling
-M&G...Largest Fund Manager in Resources and Stocks has increased their holdings to 10%+
-yes...Barclay and AMP have downsized ...marginally
-a lot of margin loans have been called up
-Newcreast and other Au Miners have also dropped (though not as much as SBM % wise)
-no retailers taking up offer
-Maquarie has fully underwritten and can only terminate under extreme conditions (pls check prospectus)
-22nd -26th JULY is when the quarterly report will come out....asked if he had accessed it (yes)....and said that there was nothing dramatically new that would have an affect on the share price as it is today
-With the credit squeeze getting more extreme ....it is good that the company is going to be cashed up for the next 12+ months
-FUNDAMENTALS are still the same

These were the points that he had highlighted....lets hope the panic and uncertainty stops and then we can get on with business.
