Have you ever known a company that talked up a takeover at 90 cents (by the Russians), then in effect (not necessarily intentionally) subsidises the takeover by paying more than half the value of the shares (at curent prices) in a dividend . If the Russians accumulate on market now, collect their dividend, and then accumulate more ex dividend post 13/10 they will have effectively scored a windfall quantity at massive discount .
