BPT's share price has been drifting lately from the 90's back to the seventies it just looks like they are in an acquistion mode to me
.....their share price has been drifting because they are supposedly going to be buying some of the Origin Energy cooper basin assets that they are divesting of. Santos and Origin are somewhat in the same boat - They have large debts because of the LNG asset build. They are selling off non-core assets as a result.
BPT may well go for STX instead but I believe the speculation as to why their share price is flagging is related to the potential Origin acquisitions.
