Of the 84 junior oilers tracked by the JOW some 47 fell today, 16 rose and 21 either did not trade or ended the day where they began.
Biggest gainer was Karoon Gas, now who would have picked that at the beginning of the day. Horizon and Icon also a bit stronger but without any media releases to explain the interest
Orchard struggled up a couple of cents after announcing success in not one but two Californian wells while partner in one of those wells, Nuenco actually went the other way.
Biggest percentage loser probably Eagle Bay Resources after shareholders agreed to dole out some free options to Directors.
First trading day of the week has been pretty ordinary for oilers over the last month so maybe they will pick up a bit tomorrow. Depends I guess on overall market sentiment and the lead the Dow gives tonight.
A further drop in oil prices won't help but gee at US$50 plus some of our junior producers are going to have a
bumper first quarter, Arc Energy among them.
