I would IMO suggest the pulled bid is critically the "elephant in the room"...nearly everything the chinese meddle with turns to $%#@!...I wouldn't go as far to suggest industrial sabotage...buuuut...A Chinese state owned company recently bought the highly strategic deep sea port "Gwadar" in Pakistan...but love to bugger Aussi miners citigold, sundance, lynas, brockman, focus etc,etc...So when it suits them they buy for critical stategic reasons and don't reneg or put up dummy bids bordering on ASIC misfeasance and happily reneg if it suits them...
