congrats on making some stag returns. must feel good to bank those multi-baggers. well done. some thoughts on your post. in my opinion its no one's job to convince anyone of their investing decisions here. with that in mind i'll play back to you the points you raised in a condensed form;
1. the CEO of a coy appen bought didn't stick around. seems normal.
2. appen is low tech. really!?
3. high valuation - agree. punters on HC driving investing decisions. hmmm
4. gut feeling of a write-down. well it'll happen some day...
5. lumpy revenue. revenue is growing double-digit. what is lumpy today is business as usual tomorrow
6. 454414 shares of care...about $12m. i'd care
my understanding is roger M is a momentum investor and quite simply he appears to have missed this one. his loss. GLTAH.
