Yep, especially that part to mismanagement writ large. They cannot restrain themselves with a few $ in the bank, very creative with ways to torch company cash reserves. Shredded almost $1Bn within that last buy back program, as you identify, top of the cycle, at prices nearing double the current WHC sp, and kept it up all the way down. Wouldn't that $Bn be valuable now. Global markets are near panic with the very likelihood of a USA deep recession in 2024, at least according to the bond market. If so, then spot prices for commodities will be in decline.
