I find it very concerning that WHC management are so deep into the BHP sale process.
acquisition of such a large asset can all be about timing.
SMR timed in perfectly to purchase an asset for half price 18 months ago right before coal prices took off. it has virtually paid itself off in one year.
now WHC if they proceed will pay an elevated price for coal assets only to find the asset won't be worth what they paid 1-2 years on.
