Maybe. But few people seem to appreciate that it is not drought, or the $A or overseas prices that threatens our food production. The number one problem is costs. Currently exceeding the income in most cases.

ps not to mention the duplication of state and federal public servants,the 'parking' of public servants, the perks of public servants and the size of our public service. Who is going to pay their wages/benefits in the future.

The only people who pay for all this non-production are the working taxpayers. Who are set upon unmercifully by labor, the greens, the ABC, get-up, and just about every fringe dweller. They wonder why our industry goes offshore, even as they step up campaigns that will force even more enterprise offshore.

Qantas is gone, GM is gone, Ford is gone, Grain corp is gone, - not just yet, but it will go. And so on. Its a lot later than many people with their heads in the and realise.
