was having lunch today with a safa mate. he's very wealthy, if that matters, which it would if you knew him.

over coffee he asked rhetorically, "dave do you know why stocks exist?"

"because you safa's can't play rugby?"

"listen, mon, i tell you....if a company has a great product, the worth of it will be represented in superior returns. we know this as revenue."

he went on to suggest the following:

if they don't have jack (moderated in advance), or, perhaps more kindly, hope to have a product but need money to bring the idea to fruition, they issue stock.

said stock brings coin to the company.

coy goes on to great things, or the directors realise that
this issuing of stock is a great way to make money (for themselves) while not being able to generate jack (moderated in advance) from the idea as the product is crap, "but we might be able to fleece these idiots a lot longer if we continue to fabricate all sorts of stuff, not to mention string 'em along with undelivered promises..."

what is CCC if not the above?

this is a pig that some just cannot move away from.

god knows the directors won't move away from it.
