I suspect Dr Fauci is taking a highly selective look at the numbers.

Because, since the start of the northern hemisphere winter, so since around the start of September, the number of cases recorded per 100,000 head of population in countries representing the EU is 837.

By comparison in the US that comparable figure is 753.

So, in terms of the numbers speaking for themselves....

I think you will find he is talking about actual cases. The US is now in their third wave, each higher than the previous one before. They are now hitting 85,000 cases per day!

They are doing a terrible job of controlling the virus. The government is not taking the advice of the medical professionals.

Not sure where you get your data from but it's wrong. Here it is from the CDC
