If not then whats the benefit of it being illegal? The fact that it is illegal does nothing but create a war? Cartels don't care if it is illegal or not. They love that it is illegal. If it wasn't they couldn't make any money. They wouldn't have any power. None. No need to smuggle anything. No need to buy guns. No need to build submarines and fastboats. No need to murder informants. No need to kill anyone. Portugal have proven what many studies already understood. If all drugs are legal and controlled, many many problems are immediately solved. It solves problem without creating new ones. Go look at the facts. The debate is done. Before Portugal it was open for debate. Not anymore.
