Rifici, that's rubbish. The context is that he chose to sell nearly $1.5M of his shares a week before an announcement was made about the drug. The 50/50 chance is also nonsense. Having two possible outcomes doesn't mean they have the same chance of occurring. It's only 50/50 if they have an equal chance. I would suggest that PXS was far more bullish than 50/50 about this getting approved in messages to shareholders. if the doc thought otherwise, then he hadn't shared it with shareholders. it sounds like there were discussions going on for some time with the EMA people and that while the vote may have been taken only in the last couple of days, surely the PXS reps were aware of concerns - concerns not shared with shareholders, but presumably the CEO would be across them. The doc might be squeaky clean on this and needed to sell when he did, but the 50/50 scenario is a furphy and to suggest he's sitting there completely unaware of any leadup to the decision beggers belief. It should be investigated and shame on the weak-kneed analysts for not asking about that in the presentatation. No one asked for guarantees, but I think its fair to ask for transparency.
