Tax reasons is the number one reason used when selling. now let's think about this logically
1. For tax why would you sell in may. Tax calc concluded in June, at worst lodge TA assessment with ATO in March. Bill due and payable a lot less than 2 months later
2. How much money does he earn to have to sell 1.5 million in stock
3. If you did have a big tax billl, wouldn't you dollar cost ave out of a big holding

In my view he was tipped off about the decision, sold half because if he sold more there would be no doubt he knew. Yes I agree there is a lack of ethics but in the end I wonder how many hear with knowledge wouldnt do the same thing.

This is why Director buying and selling big parcels before big decisions should always be monitored. Small chance is guilt free but I doubt it.
