    Hi
My first reaction also was: "Oh Dear, this guy again!" HOWEVER, Telstra has had excessive amounts of mostly negative publicity, due to the fact that every man and his dog seems to own shares due to the vigorous Government ramping that went on in order to get rid of the various tranches. Telstra was a tough nut also for Trujillo; I suspect it was and is a behemoth of too much buerocracy, aging infrastructure, and owing to Government interference and simply being too big, having difficulty adapting to tech advancements etc. - I am watching TLS with perverse interest, but have no intention of holding its shares.

LYC, on the other hand: YES

Dr Switkowski, moved on and it seems he has a pretty wonderful achievement record. Have a look at this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziggy_Switkowski

He may also have experience as a negotiator on an international level, going by his record; he may be called upon to vet safety of operations over in Malaysia.
His qualifications and achievements in Nuclear Science speak for themselves. He is 62 years old - don't know about his health, but assuming it's good, he's got at least another 8 productive years ahead of him and more.

I am happy about Dr Ziggy's appointment.

    Cheers

    Taurisk
