Most Australians have no idea what an economic collapse looks like and are in for one hell of a shock. Tax revenues have collapsed and debt has exploded. Just wait when the really difficult economic choices have to be made ahead - significant reductions in spending on health, welfare, education - the same people who have called for this lockdown will be the most vociferous.
This is the most mismanaged and disproportionate act in Governmental history. What should be done is to isolate the vulnerable and everyone else should be out there keeping the economic wheels turning.
And before you come out and say it this is not about profits before people, this is about ensuring we have the economic capability to provide health systems at all.
