who is going to purchase a deposit and spend all the money to do the exploration with the risk that the net result is the land is unusable for its purpose.

also, is the 100ppm requirement an ongoing test? is it possible to assess through initial tests that you are under the threshold but then through the process of exploitation discover areas above the threshold. would that require that mining automatically cease.

i doubt any bank would be willing to lend on that risk.

should this legislation proceed as proposed it is not only going to set back all the mines currently recognised as over the threshold. it will destroy any real chance Greenland has of a profitable mining sector
