For God's sake, the exchange rate is already factored in.
You will find, if you do the calculations properly, that the OZ and US prices generally track pretty closely when you take the exchange rate into account.
The big cost is switching between ASX, NASDAQ and vice versa through the depository bank. The bank takes a good chunk.
Markets are smart enough, in the vast majority of cases, to factor in exchange rate.
