Apologies if this is off-topic, but you are exactly the type of HC poster disseminating misinformation. The premise of NAN was as a means to sterilise ultrasound devices which could not be subjected to sterilisation techniques (which already exist) without damaging the probes. Whilst EUS (endoscopic ultrasound) does exist, it represents the cutting edge and constitutes less than 1% of endoscopies (tertiary referral centres only). There is no overlap in the indications, processing or volume of use of ultrasound versus endoscopy.
