Read in The Age this morning, the Frog shipbuilders are warning the Li-I batteries in Jap subs could explode.
This is scaremongering, but is it baseless? The doubt is there.
At any rate it seems clear flow batteries are better for Storage.
The real competition for Redflow may be Vanadium Redox.
