Ok Mr. Moderator, that is your prerogative. However, I believe that this is relevant, not only to this topic, but every well visited thread on HotCopper.
The point that I wish to make (and probably should have spelt it out) is that some posters are forgetting what the "thumby" is all about. Surely the purpose is to draw others attention to posts that are considered of major interest and worthy of mutual viewing! This enables the casual reader to see selectively what is considered important. Sadly some members appear to believe that it is a "role of honour" or a competition, and seem to delight in childishly removing any posts that have caught the attention of more mature viewers. Perhaps it would be an idea to remove the "down thumby" from the page, thus ensuring positive feedback goes unaffected by fits of pique.
