I agree and I was going to add that the impact of a strengthening USD is mitigated when converted to AUD because in all likelyhood a stronger USD would mean a relatively weaker AUD/USD rate.
The reason I see a stronger USD index as a negative is the company reports in USD. Their guidance provided for FY24 is in USD so if the USD carried on strengthening, CSL would need to downgrade the earnings. Yes, the AUD result may be the same but a downgrade in USD will still be a downgrade by the market.
