Money & services for the ordinary people?
Methinks we've forgotten which continent we're talking about.
My money's on more arms to push the people even further down, ( at least the ones foreign media won't be allowed to interact with ), & further entrench the current leaders in their positions.
Good for us? It's great. The other person wondering if it might not be the cash grab some think it will be? Odds on it will be & could be worse than they're saying.
One thing is for sure, it will increase operating costs & diminish returns for international companies working there. If it does lead to badly better conditions for workers? That would be fantastic.
Someday it may get to the stage where Aussie companies can go operate there without any ethical dilemmas but hey- it's Africa.
'Someday' has been waited for these past centuries but at every turn, a local sells their 'brothers and sisters' out & the world looks at the foreign entrants as the bad guy.
