2024 is almost upon us and the wild theories and hypothesis are flying thick and fast !
clearly the BOD got an overwhelming vote of confidence from the rank and file punters at the recent AGM quite amazing really given their underwhelming performance as a listed ASX company - credit due where credit is due the mums and dads didn't buy the MMGA spin.
So what does the often touted MOU and the softening of the boards hard line stance to we are now willing to negotiate a settlement actually mean for AVZ shareholders ?
Well I am going to go out on a limb here and offer my view of what may happen in 2024. If and its a very big "if" the BOD can get an offer to buy their DRC assets ( A take over of the company simply wont happen ) I expect the BOD will present an offer to shareholders and recommend that they take said offer rather than go through years of legal stoushes and I expect that their recommendation is going to be extremely unpalatable to to retail shareholders and I expect the support they received at the recent AGM wont carry through to an extraordinary general meeting to sell the assets.
Just my worthless opinion as a non holder !
